Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Pledges Unwavering Support for Kashmir on Martyrs Day

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday commemorated the martyrs of July 13, 1931, asserting that their sacrifices form the cornerstone of the Kashmiri people’s enduring struggle for democratic, political, and human rights.

In a statement issued by the Media Cell of Bilawal House, the PPP chairman declared that the blood of those martyred in 1931 laid the foundation for a dignified and protracted fight for self-determination. “Their sacrifice reminds the world that the yearning for dignity, justice, and the right to determine one’s own future can never be silenced by force,” he said.

Reaffirmation of Stance on Kashmir Dispute

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated the PPP’s steadfast solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He emphasized that lasting peace in South Asia remains contingent upon a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and relevant United Nations resolutions.

“The PPP has always stood firmly with the oppressed and voiceless,” Bhutto Zardari stated, recalling the principled legacy of his grandfather, former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and his mother, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. He expressed hope that the sacrifices of the Kashmir martyrs would soon bear fruit in the form of peace, justice, and freedom for the region.
